# Audio

Embed an audio file from an HTTPS URL.

An audio block plays a file from an HTTPS URL. The public form shows a native audio player.

Use audio when the person should listen, such as:

- A short spoken intro.
- A clip they must hear before they continue.

> The URL must use HTTPS. The browser must be able to play that file type. This is not a file upload.

How to add one:

1. Open the form editor and click + Insert block, or type /audio.
2. Pick Audio from the Media group.
3. Paste an HTTPS audio URL.
