# Label

Add a small caption next to other blocks.

A label is a small caption. It is layout. Use it for a hint that is not a question.

Use a label when you need a small note, such as:

- Optional next to a group.
- A unit such as USD under a number.

> This is not the question label on an input block. Edit the question label on that card instead.

How to add one:

1. Open the form editor and click + Insert block, or type /label.
2. Pick Label from the Layout group.
3. Replace the default Label text.
