# Signatures

Collect a drawn signature with the response.

A signature block is a drawing pad. The answer is saved with the response.

The public form has a canvas and a Clear signature control. A blank pad is a missing answer.

Use a signature when you need a mark, such as:

- An acknowledgement or simple agreement.
- A confirmation that the person saw the terms.

> This is not a legal e-sign product. The drawing must stay under about 2 MB. Use it for acknowledgements, not contracts you need to archive as files.

How to add one:

1. Open the form editor and click + Insert block, or type /sign.
2. Pick Signature from the Questions group.
3. Edit the label. Mark Required if a signature is mandatory.
