Booking and payment forms
People search for an appointment scheduler when they want a calendar with open slots. Request Forms can collect a requested date and time and take a Stripe deposit. It does not show live availability and it does not sync a calendar.
The job
Let someone request a slot and pay a deposit.
What Request Forms can do
- Date and time questions for the requested slot.
- Stripe Connect payments on the same form.
- Logic, required fields, and a notify email on submit.
- A signature or checkbox for cancel rules.
What it cannot do
- No live calendar, no slot inventory, and no Calendly-style booking page.
- No Google Calendar or Outlook sync.
- No automatic reminder SMS.
- Two people can request the same time. You resolve that in the inbox.
How to build it
- Add Date and Time questions for the requested slot.
- Connect Stripe on the organization if you want a deposit.
- Insert a Payment block for the deposit amount.
- Publish the form. Confirm the slot from the response inbox.
When to pick each
Pick Request Forms
- You want a request form with an optional deposit, not a self-serve calendar.
- A human will confirm the time after submit.
Pick another product
- You need live availability, round-robin routing, or calendar sync. Use Calendly or Cal.com.
- You need room or staff inventory.
Questions
- Does this replace Calendly?
- No. Request Forms collects a requested time. Calendly sells the open-slot calendar. Pick Calendly if the calendar is the product.
- Can people pay when they book?
- Yes. Each organization connects its own Stripe account. Add a Payment block for a fixed deposit.
